A 25-year-old woman has drowned at a popular waterhole near Alice Springs.
Emergency services received reports of CPR being performed on a woman at Ellery Creek Big Hole at about 12.50pm on Sunday.
Paramedics arrived and took over life-saving efforts but the woman could not be revived.

A crime scene has been established and the area has been closed to the public as detectives investigate the woman’s death.
Police are urging all visitors to take care around waterways and follow safety advice when at remote locations.
The 27m-deep waterhole is among the popular camping, walking, swimming and picnic spots in West MacDonnell National Park.
