Aaron Rodgers clears air on ‘racy’ Drew Allar DM rumors on Cam Heyward podcast: ‘It’s not true’

Aaron Rodgers would like to clear the air on some gossip surrounding one of his new teammates.

During an appearance on the “Not Just Football with Cam Heyward” podcast, the future Hall of Fame quarterback had some fun with Drew Allar and the alleged “racy” direct messages released in 2025 that were attributed to the new Steelers quarterback, who was selected in the third round of the 2026 draft.

“For those pop culture enthusiasts, there’s a DM thread out there about Drew. He definitely wanted me to come on here and say it’s not true and that it was it was made up, but it’s out there. It’s a little racy,” Rodgers, 43, said of the messages that went viral last year.

“But he’s been in a committed relationship for a long time. And he’s very happy. And it’s none of that was ever true.”

Based on what we can see on Instagram, Allar and girlfriend Emma Bush, who have been a couple since high school, are still going strong. Just last week, Bush posted a sappy couples video on TikTok. “7 years of me and you,” she wrote of her relationship with Allar.

These two aren’t about to be sidetracked by some internet troll.

“When I heard Drew Allar, [the] first thing I thought was, Oh, that DM thing.’ I remember seeing that it went around like the quarterback rooms [because] quarterback rooms are like that like, ‘Hey, do you see this kid in college you know these DMs?’ I was like ‘Oh s–t man,'” Rodgers continued.

You have to give Allar, 22, credit. The rookie passed the test on how to handle himself within an NFL locker room. “One of the first things I said to him was like, ‘Hey, the DM thing ever get you in trouble?’ You know, especially when he was like, ‘Yeah, I’ve been with, you know, my girlfriend for a long time.’ And I was like, ‘You got through that DM scandal?'” Rodgers pressed.
