Chiefs owner’s wife Tavia Hunt has heard enough about how they get all the calls and she’s sick of it

Tavia Hunt, wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, has heard all about how her team gets all the calls and she’s had enough. She pushed back on that narrative on social media earlier this week.

Is her opinion biased? It could be, but she’s taken a look at the stats and studied the film according to her statement on the matter.

In a post on Tavia’s Instagram story, where I’d argue these sorts of matters should be settled, she shared a clip of Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones being held in the end zone while Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins surveys the field for an open receiver. See the alleged missed call here.

“So sick of the past narrative that the Chiefs get all the calls,” she wrote. “Stats don’t lie and neither does film — so I’m leaving this here.”

The Chiefs ended up winning the game 30-27 and improved to 4-0. I’m sure there were missed calls that went the Chiefs way during the game as well as there are in every game.

Winning three Super Bowls over a five-year span is going to add some fuel to the “Chiefs get all the calls” fire. And so does a study the NY Post reports was conducted by the University of Texas at El Paso in October 2025.

They found that “postseason officiating has disproportionately favored the [Patrick] Mahomes-era Kansas City Chiefs, coinciding with their rise as one of the NFL’s most marketable franchises.”

Now, so far this season, the numbers, according to the NY Post, are more on Tavia and the Chiefs side.

The part of this whole back-and-forth over whether they get all the calls or not that is being lost is that some people don’t care what the numbers are. They enjoy getting the Chiefs fans all the way up to the wife of the owner of the team riled up by claiming that they get all the calls.

It’s really the little things in life that give people true joy.
