Hollywood sweethearts Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff file for divorce, months after confirming split

Actress Margaret Qualley and musician Jack Antonoff have finally filed for divorce, months after confirming their separation.

The Substance star, 32, and Taylor Swift’s right-hand-man, 42, announced they were parting ways in July after three years of marriage.

Now it is paperwork official according to People, the outlet confirming the former couple have filed for an uncontested, mutually agreed divorce in New York State.

“Jack and Margaret are filing for divorce jointly,” a source told the outlet.

“This is a mutual decision. They share a deep affinity and love for one another, and though their romantic partnership is ending, they will absolutely be lifelong friends.”

The joint filing appears to confirm what the former couple have been saying for months about their split being amicable.

News of their split first broke in July, forcing Qualley to address rumours about Antonoff’s alleged infidelity.

“The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues,” read a statement from Qualley’s team.

“There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship. They have deep love and care for one another.

“There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy.”

Last month during a concert with his band Bleachers, Antonoff refused a fan request to play 2017 hit Lets Get Married.

“Absolutely not,” Antonoff told the fan.

“Read the news, brother.”

It was the first time the Bleachers frontman had publicly acknowledged his separation.

He then went on to tell The Guardian he had struggled to decide whether to remove songs he’d written about Qualley and their romance from the band’s setlist.

“Songs which I wrote recently, I obviously was really worried about this specific thing,” he explained.

“I sat long and hard with it and thought, ‘If I change the setlist …’ and in my gut there was a unanimous jury that said, ‘No, this is the deal.

“‘The deal I’ve made with my audience is that I’m going to tell you honestly how I feel and I’m going to risk at any moment having to stand behind it for f…ing ever.’”

Antonoff said he did not want to “rewrite the past” for the sake of his own comfort.
