Homicide detectives called in after body found in parked car in Noble Park, in Melbourne’s southeast

A homicide probe has been launched after police discovered a man’s body in a parked car in Melbourne’s southeast.

Emergency services first responded to reports the man was located deceased in the car, which was parked on Walter St in Noble Park, shortly before 3pm on Wednesday.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

Footage captured by 9News shows emergency crews – including SES crews – swarming the neighbourhood after the discovery.

In a statement, Victoria Police said a post-mortem would be conducted to determine the man’s cause of death.

“At this early stage, it is being treated as suspicious,” police said in the statement.

A crime scene has been established and the investigation remains ongoing.
