A teenager is fighting for her life after being struck by a car when she stepped out from behind a bus on Tuesday afternoon.
The 15-year-old had just gotten off a bus when she dashed out onto Beach Road in Malaga and was struck by a car around 5.20pm.
The impact threw her more than 25 metres down the road with the collision happening right in front of her friends and shocked witnesses.
Bystanders helped the teenager before paramedics arrived and rushed her to Royal Perth Hospital under lights and sirens.
She remains in ICU in a critical condition.
Onlookers were left shocked from the crash.
“As we were pulling into the gym, me and Shadow heard a big bang,” James told 7NEWS.
“We’ve looked over as we’re driving in and there was somebody rolling forward.
“It’s a pretty scary situation seeing that right in front of you.”
Police are still investigating with anyone with information urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
