Welcome to the latest edition of True Romance. I’m back from vacation, and I’d like to say that I’m well rested and fully prepared for the next couple of months before 2027 arrives, but I try my best not to lie.
The truth is, I’m not well rested at all. It’s the first Thursday in November already and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. But that doesn’t mean we’re not going to make the most of it. We are.
I’m loaded up with caffeine. That’s a good thing, because we have a lot to get to. The first order of business this week is the sad news that came out a few days ago. As a supporter of love, it was truly tough news to swallow.

I’m, of course, talking about the breakup of Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson. I thought these two were going to make it. Unfortunately, they called it quits last year, but remain close friends and business partners.
So, who knows what the future holds for these two and their nearly 50-year age gap? The reason for the split, according to the Daily Mail, was that the relationship became a distraction. Neither of them wanted that.
“Looking back, that was a big part of what pulled his focus away from football last season,” the Daily Mail reported.
“He was thinking about taking the next steps with her, getting engaged, getting married, and building a future together, while also dealing with the constant attention and outside scrutiny that came with being in such a high-profile relationship. It became overwhelming for both of them.”
Enough about these two. Let’s get to the reality of dating a professional athlete. If you’re only invited to attend road games, there’s a decent chance you’re the side chick. An adult film star says she found this out the hard way.
Plus, Lindsey Vonn has a relationship update that she felt the need to share. But don’t expect these updates to take place on a regular basis going forward.

Adult film star Silvia Saige had no idea she was Royals pitcher Bruce Chen’s other woman until he got engaged
Who among us doesn’t love a good story about baseball and romance? We all remember “Bull Durham,” don’t we?
Adult film actress Silvia Saige claimed on the “Holly Randall Unfiltered” podcast that she once dated former MLB pitcher Bruce Chen while he was a member of the Kansas City Royals.
Chen was close to the end of his career at the time, she said. The two met, according to Saige, thanks to Eric Hosmer while she was doing promotional modeling in Kansas City before she got into porn.
“I had gone to an event and I had actually gone home, and I’ll say this guy’s name too, cause f— him, I truly hate this man, Eric Hosmer, was our first baseman at the time and he and I had kind of hit it off at the event,” Saige said. “So I went home with him.”
She alleged that he kicked her out of his place after she refused to sleep with him. She assumes Chen got her phone number from Hosmer after he bragged about it in the locker room the next day.

‘CHARLIE’S ANGELS’ ACTRESS CLAIMS COSTAR INVITED HER TO THREESOME, A CONTRABAND BRA FOR LOVE & NO HARM NO FOUL
Saige continued, “He (Chen) had hit me up, and he said, you know, ‘I would like to take you out, and I would like to show you how a woman should be treated, because what Eric did to you was completely wrong, and I’m so sorry, let me make that up to you.'”
She said that Chen did make it up to her. He flew her out to an away game first class like a gentleman for their first date and pulled out all the stops once she arrived.
“When I got there, the doorman knew my name and what I was wearing and escorted me up,” Saige claimed. “I had a massage table waiting and money to go shopping.”
None of that was a red flag to her. She thought going all out with the red carpet treatment was how it was supposed to be. They ended up dating for several months, and he even met her family, according to Saige.
The entire time, it was first-class flights to away games and “service, service, service.” Around eight months into the relationship is when she found out that she was the side chick.
That news was delivered by a phone call from her aunt. Saige said that her uncle had seen on the news that Chen was engaged.
She called Chen up, and he confirmed that he was going to marry someone else, but that he would still like to see her too. According to her, he offered her money.
“It was like, you know like, ‘I’ll pay your bills and keep you happy,'” she told host Holly Randall.
That wasn’t an arrangement she was willing to knowingly enter into at the time. She genuinely thought she was in a real relationship and turned it down. The invites to only away games didn’t give it away that there was someone else.
Ladies, if you’re romantically involved with an athlete, and you’re only being invited to away games, take it as a sign. There’s a good chance you’re not the starter on their roster.

Lindsey Vonn has a relationship update
No, Lindsey Vonn isn’t engaged to her boyfriend, fellow alpine skier Matthieu Bailet. She just wants you to know that she’s “really happy” about her “amazing boyfriend,” she told People.
Now to be fair to her, she told People that at a fashion awards show where the outlet likely asked her about her relationship. But don’t expect too many of these kinds of updates. She’s not trying to put it in everyone’s face.
“I think in my past it’s kind of been mixed of keeping things private and maybe oversharing. I’m trying to strike a nice balance,” Vonn said.
“He’s awesome and I wanted to share that. People know now I’m dating someone, and I’m happy, but I’m not going to share too much moving forward.”

Good for her. It’s the right call. Finding the perfect balance and picking your spots to show off your boyfriend shirtless while in a bikini isn’t done enough.
It’s a “look at me” society we live in. I like those who are able to show restraint.
You know Lindsey Vonn is dating someone. Boom, they’re hot together in swimwear, and happy, then they keep it to themselves again for a while.
That’s a couple you can root for. They’re not proposing in your face on the jumbotron trying to make everything all about them.
It’s an occasional behind the scenes, don’t we look good in our underwear? The answer is yes. Yes, you do. We’ll all be here for your next partially clothed relationship update. Until then, we wish you nothing but the best.
Girls who married the bad boys, how is your marriage?
As you might have guessed, there are a lot of not-so-great outcomes from marrying a bad boy. But what about those who beat the odds?
The ones who have made it work for 40 years even after being stood up on their first date because the bad boy was helping his girlfriend move out.
That’s what we’re all chasing. Isn’t it? A little bit of magic in places nobody else is willing to look. There will be failure, but what about the ones that succeed?
Here’s some of the good, the bad, and the sometimes ugly:
- A girl I went to school with who became a criminal lawyer, fell into love with a criminal that she was defending. Ended up participating in his crimes, got caught by the police, ended up in gaol and is now released but is banned from ever being a lawyer.
- Preparing to divorce him! I will say that what’s attractive at 22 is very much not attractive at 32.
- Have a friend who was married to a bad boy with drug, motorcycle, and alcohol problems. We were all proud of her when she got divorced. Less than a year later, she eloped to marry a guy who was just as bad. She is still a friend, but her life and her marriage is a train wreck.
- Over. He was the biggest mistake I ever made. What I loved about him the most (that he was a free spirit, and wild) was what I ended up hating about him. Turned out that love didn’t pay the bills. I did.
- Thankfully didn’t marry him, but did spend 10 years with him. Almost ruined me and my kids. We survived and recovered, he is not doing well these days last I heard.
- Happily Divorced from that one
- I decided not to marry him. He’s been divorced 3 times and has 4 kids from 3 different women. Definitely dodged a bullet
- I did! My husband had some wild-ass 32 years before I met him. He loved the bars and drinking whiskey. He did some drugs casually and made a few law-related mistakes. He was on his way out of the hard living when I met him, but still had a wild streak. This is the same man who goes to bed before 9 now and is currently piled up in my pink quilt baby-talking our Yorkie.
- My mom married the bad boy. Their first date, he stood her up to help his other girlfriend move out. They’ve been married for almost 40 years now. I love hearing my mom react in horror when my dad tells her stories of his younger days.
- Married a druggie bartender after knowing him 6 months! He’s now a CEO and the best husband and dad in the world. I still swoon when he smiles. It’s been 26 amazing years.
